Freshpoint is a technology company focused on developing intelligent solutions for the packaging industry. Our core competency is the development and commercialization of innovative, patent protected solutions that meet the needs of industry mega trends including tractability, food safety, heath and wellness. We have developed and commercialized two different Time Temperature Technologies – an ink UV activated TTI branded as OnVu and a metal based TTI branded as CoolVu. These technologies include a variety of products and applications including barcode and RF compatible indicators.
VISION
At Freshpoint we focus on science based research to develop solutions that improve our everyday lives In addition to further development of products already commercialized to date, using our vast multidisciplinary research resources we aim to develop intellectual property which is both patentable and commercially viable. Underlying this vision is an explicit objective to cooperate with global market leading companies in the commercialization, marketing and distribution of our products worldwide.
HISTORY
Freshpoint was founded in Switzerland in 2004. The company has since continued its R&D work in labs in Haifa, Israel and Bayreuth, Germany. Towards the end of 2004 Freshpoint signed an exclusive agreement with global leader Ciba Specialty Chemicals for the development, marketing and worldwide sales of their recently developed time temperature indicators. In 2007, Freshpoint and Ciba jointly launched their first commercial product, the OnVu Time Temperature Indicator, at the IFFA International Meat Show in Frankfurt, Germany. To date Freshpoint continues to develop and launch line extensions to the range of existing Time Temperature Indicators.
